Attic Mold Remediation
Denver Attic Mold Remediation
Brothers Restoration, Denver Colorado
Brothers Restoration, LLC are your Denver and Front Range area mold remediation professionals.
If a Home Inspection has revealed mold growth in your attic, it must be remediated at once.
During the sales process of real estate, a savvy home buyer should hire an experienced home inspector to seek out any potential signs of moisture damage in the structure. If mold in the attic is present, the inspector will advise the purchaser that a moisture problem has been present long enough to cause mold formation. Identifying and repairing the source of the moisture is paramount in the restoration process.
Brothers Restoration uses state of the art equipment to identify moisture, and works with one of the largest and respected roofing repair companies in the Denver area to fix any leaks. We got you covered.
What techniques does Brothers Restoration use to treat Attic Mold?
Excellent Question. Brothers Restoration uses a combination of four different techniques to remediate stubborn attic mold.
- SANDING – Large, dense formations of mold may need to be sanded off plywood sheathing, trusses, or any wooden materials used to build the roof over your property. This method is tedious and labor intensive but does a good job at prepping surfaces for mold treating products. Not all projects will require this step.
- ADVANCED PEROXIDE TREATMENT – The use of an industrial strength peroxide cleaner is applied to any areas of heavy staining. An oxidation process then takes place on the substrate to lift and remove stubborn stains and debris. The cleaner breaks down into simple oxygen and water, leaving no trace.
- ENCAPSULATING – Using a commercial grade airless sprayer, all areas where mold staining has occurred will be encapsulated with a special type of paint that has sporicidal and anti-fungal properties to ensure that all existing mold is covered and killed while leaving a barrier to prevent any future mold from reforming. Most attics can be encapsulated within one day.
- FOGGING – Brothers Restoration often uses a ULV (Ultra Low Volume) Fogger in combination with Concrobium Mold Control solution to completely eradicate mold spores. Concrobium is eco-friendly and completely safe around people, children, and pets. A good fog ensures that all nooks and crannies are hit with a sporicidal, and the product even leaves a thin barrier against mold on any surface it touches.
While there are many methods available to treat attic mold, Brothers Restoration has found the above methods to be entirely adequate, effective, and economic. Brothers Restoration offers a one year fully transferable warranty on any attic mold remediation project. Our attention to detail ensures any home inspector will be satisfied with the quality of the mold remediation project. Thank you.
